It is of my opinion that money (in and of itself) is in neither good nor evil. I am not alone in this thinking. I prefer to see money as a tool and not a weapon.
There are a great many groups and movements that endeavor to "do their part" in easing despair wherever it is found upon this planet. Groups of people from all walks of life. People like you and me. Our gift to the whole is, or should be, our own reward.
We volunteer our time, money and effort on the things that inspire our own heart to action. Even if that action is simply words of encouragement and support. Even at the risk of saying something that might offend another. We know what our heart meant.
Having said that, and since I'm speaking of money, I have a question. How does one separate the heart from the dollar?
Can it be done? A slogan that sticks in my mind from the past is "give till it hurts". Will our hearts allow that? Can we sacrifice a part of our own well being for the betterment of the whole?
When we volunteer our time and effort to a cause that is dear to our hearts we are sacrificing, or for a better term, sharing the very bread from our table. If time is money, and if money is a tool, then we must learn to use it well.
We must learn to become adept with this tool in order to create that which our hearts envision. Yet we must take great care that the tool does not corrupt the vision of the heart. Lest it become a weapon and destroys while we create.
Peace is the universal dream of the human heart. It's safe to say that It is your dream as much as it is mine. How do you use your, finite time/money to add to the collective creation of that which humanity's heart has for so long desired?
And how can we learn to see the heart as the creator and time as the tool. How do we keep the want of both from becoming the weapon of corruption?
~let all hatred cease and let there be peace~
